We hope you have some wonderful plans for the long holiday weekend! While there is some rain in the forecast we hope that there is at least an equal amount of sunshine, grilling and taking your four-legged family on long walks! All of our services with the exception of our ER will be closed on Monday. In addition Veterinary Dermatology of Richmond will be closed tomorrow, May 24th. If you have a veterinary emergency at any time over the weekend please don’t hesitate to contact our emergency staff. They will be standing by to provide assistance and care 24-hours a day. Last night was our final CE for this spring. Thank you to everyone who attended both last night and throughout the last few months. Thank you also to all of our wonderful presenters and sponsors. Do you remember the stray dachshund that was brought in to Dogwood in February suffering from injuries from a suspected dog attack? Well we have great news, he has found his forever home. Now named General George S. Patton he is now living with his new family in the mountains of Pennsylvania. If you are wondering about the name, he came to his new home named George and the rest was added to honor his struggle and his courage! Thank you to Virginia Veterinary Surgical Associates for performing surgery and taking such great care of George and to Ring Dog Rescue for finding him temporary care and his forever home.
